25% of kids under 10 years of age have high cholesterol, high blood pressure or some other contributor of heart disease. A new report has issued a stark warning that children’s lives will be shorter than their parent’s if this trend continues.
Childhood obesity has been running rampant in our society and spreading like an untamed fire. It is a dangerous and growing problem.
Obesity in teens has risen over the past twenty years and something needs to be done about it to help them. Plus being an obese teenager is not fun at all socially, and most, if not all, obese teens really want help losing their weight. There is help for overweight and teen obesity at Chastity House. These include a goal of 10,000 steps per day as measured on pedometers, dancersize, food journaling, culinary classes.
At Chastity House teens will be given the opportunity to experience Healthy Habits in this program as follows:
