Counseling is a time and space set aside for an individual, couple, family, or group to receive professional help for emotional and/or behavioral difficulties. Therapy is the technique used to assist in the healing process.  This time is collaborative between the professional and the client.  This means that it is not simply a time in which the client receives advice or in which the professional is a silent receiver.  The work done in therapy is done as a partnership.  The nature of counseling often feels different from the rest of life.  Counseling gives you the chance to be completely honest about what you've done in your life.

This level of honesty is often unwelcome or unsafe in day-to-day life. However,  your safety is of utmost importance in therapy. A safe space is created to be objective, confidential, and stable in order for you to work through life’s challenges.

WHAT IS LIFE COACHING

Life Coaching is the facilitation of growth and change.  It is an ongoing professional relationship that helps people produce extraordinary results in their lives, careers, businesses or organization.  It is aimed at helping clients discover their goals for improvement, define specific goals and strategies for reaching these goals and then enabling the client, through regular coaching, to achieve these goals.

We at Chastity House view our services as a ministry for those who are hurting emotionally.  Our traditional and spiritual-centered principles address the spiritual, mental and physical aspects of the whole person.  We provide personalized treatment based upon individual needs.  

It is our belief and passion that every person deserves quality counseling, regardless of their financial resources or insurance coverage.  As a result, we operate on a sliding fee scale.  We accept some insurance plans.

Counselors seek to provide the best possible care for our clients, and thus are active in pursuing additional specialized education and credentialing.  

Although specializations vary, our counselors and coaches are trained and certified in such areas as abstinence education, children and adolescent counseling, anger management control, anti-bullying, behavior modification, depression and anxiety, PTSD/PTSS (stress and slavery disorder/syndrome). eating disorder discipline, family violence intervention, grief recovery, individual and group therapy, life coping skills, parenting and family services, health and fitness coaching, personal issues, alcohol, drug and sexual addictions, spiritual and soul searching, reality/nature counseling, pre-marital and marriage counseling, stress management techniques, support groups, women issues.
